Michelle joined Daumler, Mertz & Associates in 2026, bringing with her nearly four decades of experience in financial services and a deeply client-focused approach to planning. Michelle is passionate about guiding clients through important life decisions with clarity and care, ensuring their financial plan reflects both their priorities and their vision for the future.

She began her career at Shaunavon Credit Union in 1985 before building an accomplished tenure with one of Canada’s largest national banks from 1987 to 2024. Over the course of her career, Michelle has held a wide range of leadership and advisory roles spanning personal lending, small business advisory, branch management, and comprehensive financial planning. At the bank as a Senior Financial Planner, Michelle earned multiple Annual Achievers Awards and two Chairman’s Awards in recognition of her dedication to client outcomes and professional excellence.

Michelle was drawn to IG Wealth Management and the Daumler, Mertz & Associates team by the opportunity to offer a more integrated planning experience bringing together advanced financial planning, investment management, and a collaborative network of specialists. She values being part of a team that shares a strong commitment to delivering meaningful, long-term value for pre-retirees, retirees, business owners, and families to make confident decisions aligned with their long-term goals.

Michelle holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation, along with the Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC), Canadian Securities Course (CSC), and Professional Financial Planner (PFP) designations. Her extensive experience, combined with a strong technical foundation, allows her to provide thoughtful, well-structured guidance tailored to each client’s unique situation.

Outside of her professional life, Michelle enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle. She and her husband live on a small acreage in the foothills, where they care for their animals, garden, and spend time riding horses. A passionate traveller, she has visited more than 20 countries and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and skiing in the mountains throughout the year. Michelle is also a proud grandmother and values time spent with her family.
